The Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR), New Delhi conducts All India Entrance Examination for admission to Undergraduate, Postgraduate and Doctoral degree programmes in agriculture and allied sciences for filling 15% seats in Bachelor and 25% seats each in Master (100% seats in ICAR-DUs) and Doctoral degree programmes in accredited Agricultural Universities (except the 4 ICAR-DUS). Through AIEEA-PG, 475 ICAR PG Scholarship and through AICE-JRF/SRF (PGS), 202 fellowships are also awarded. Those candidates who do not get ICAR PG Scholarship are awarded NTS (PGS) provided the take admission outside their state of domicile.

The dates for conducting these examinations online for the Academic Session 2018-19 have been fixed with the approval of Competent Authority in the Council as under:

i) For UG admission : Saturday 12th May 2018 during 10.00 AM - 12.30PM(2.30 hrs)
(For candidates having passed or appearing in 10+2 Examination with Physics, chemistry and biology/Agriculture/Mathematics).

ii) For PG admission and award of ICAR-PG Scholarship/NTS(PGS)
[For candidates having passed Bachelor's degree or appearing in the final year examination in Agriculture and Allied Science or related subjects with four years degree (10+2+3 years are also eligible for few courses at IARI & NDRI) ]

iii)For Ph.D and award of JRF/SRF (PGS): Sunday, 13th May 2018 during 10.00 AM to 01.00 PM (3hrs)
(For Indian Nationals having passed Master,s degree or appearing in the final semester examination in Agriculture & Allied Science from any recognized university in India or abroad).
