PAU Alumnus Appointed as Vice-Chancellor of Canbera University, Australia.
Professor Hargurdeep Singh Saini
An alumnus of Punjab Agricultural University (PAU), Professor Hargurdeep Singh Saini has been appointed as Vice-Chancellor of the University Of Canberra, Australia. He did his Masters from PAU and doctorate in Plant Physiology from the University of Adelaide, Australia.
Afterwards, he served as Vice-President of the University of Toronto, Canada. In Canada, he has served at four Universities in various capacities and been deeply involved in diverse research projects.
He came to Australia as student and now again as Vice-Chancellor of the prestigious University, he said on assuming the charge of Vice-Chancellor of the University of Canberra. He also stated, “It is a moment of great happiness for me.”
For this big achievement, the Vice-Chancellor of Punjab Agricultural University, Dr Baldev Singh Dhillon and other senior officials of PAU congratulated Dr Saini.
