Mohinder Singh Grewal Selected as "First PAU Fellow Farmer"

The Punjab Agricultural University (PAU) has selected a progressive farmer, S. Mohinder Singh Grewal as the “First PAU Fellow Farmer” to educate the farmers and the students through lectures in extension programmes like trainings.
S. Mohinder Singh Grewal having 53 years of farming experience, on 4.8. Hectares of land he has produced 42 crops till date. He has acquired trainings in hybrid seed production from PAU, modern technology and agronomic practices for intensive growth of vegetables from scientists of Israel, and in poultry, piggery and beekeeping from various sources.
At the national level, S. Singh has served as Member of Commission for Agricultural Costs and Prices, Government of India; He is the member of Indian Institute of Sugarcane Research, Lucknow; Member of Seed Act Sub Committee, Government of India; and Member of Advisory Committee, Prasar Bharti, Jalandhar, Punjab.
At the state level, he has served as Punjab State Seed Certification Authority; Member of Governing Board; PAU Farmers’ Advisory Committee; and PAU Publication Committee.
S. Singh, at present, is a Member of Agriculture and Horticulture Committee, PAU; and Member of Governing Board, Agricultural Technology Management Agency. He is also the Founder and Charter President of Punjab Farmers’ Club, PAU. He is a recipient of five international, seven national and 16 state honours.
As a scientific farmer and a delegate member, S. Singh has visited many countries like USA, Canada, Mexico, Thailand, England and Pakistan. In addition, he has delivered several seminars in India and abroad. Aso he has authored several books on various aspects of agriculture.
