INTACH Jammu Chapter in collaboration with Directorate of Floriculture and Department of Environmental Sciences, University of Jammu, organised an interaction programme on ‘Indigenous Flowers of Jammu’ as part of National Heritage Awareness programme.

In the meet, officials of Floriculture Department, Agriculture Department, Horticulture Department and students from GGM Science College, Government College for Women.

A session on the indigenous flowers of Jammu was held in which Babita Rakwal, Director Floriculture, Jammu was the Chief Guest and Dr C.M Seth (IFS Retd) and Prof Anil Raina, HoD Environmental Sciences were the Guests of Honour.

Speakers highlighted the importance of flowers in daily life and how important are our indigenous flowers as part of our natural heritage.
