To impart skill-based education at the grass-roots level in the region a community college scheme to Central University of Punjab, Bathinda was granted by University Grants Commission (UGC).
"The diploma would help the university to reach out to stakeholders aspiring for a career in agriculture sector," said P Ramarao, principal, community college scheme. Also he added, "The community college model would be accessible to a large number of individuals, offering low-cost and high quality education that encompasses both skill development and traditional coursework, thereby providing opportunities to learners to move directly to the employment sector or higher education."
"The course had been modelled as per guidelines of national skill qualification framework," Sunil Mittal, coordinator, community college scheme said.
