Five students of College of Agriculture of Punjab Agricultural University Simran Gill, Shivreet Kaur, Harjot Singh, Tejinder Singh and Surbhi Jamwal bagged the prestigious scholarship funded by Bayer, a German multinational pharmaceutical and Life Sciences Company and one of the largest pharmaceutical companies in the world.
The scholarship recognizes meritorious students on the basis of written test and face to face interaction with the experts.
The students will be awarded with Rs 25, 000/- along with certificate. Students who had scored first division across 10th standard, 12th standard and graduation were shortlisted for the scholarship. Selection process involves three rounds.
In first round, there was short listing of 63 students on the basis of their academic score. In second round, an online test was conducted and 17 students were selected. 5 Toppers from online test were selected for final round which was a interaction session with the students at Chandigarh.
Dr S S Kukal, Dean, College of Agriculture congratulated the students for this meritorious achievement.
